I've been experiencing a green screen issue on my Samsung F62 since yesterday, even though it's showing a 2024 update, as it's an old phone. My phone hasn't been dropped or exposed to water, and I just use it normally. So how did my phone get the green screen issue? Dear samsung main Samsung ka purna customer hoon

Dear Samsung Member,

Greetings from Samsung Customer Support!

At Samsung, we always aim to provide impeccable services to our customers, and we highly regret that you feel this way.

Please follow these easy troubleshooting steps which may help in resolving this issue:

● Kindly restart your device.

● Update software on device: apps screen > Settings > Software update > Download and install > Download > Install now.

● Reset the device:
Note: Kindly create data backup of your device via SMART switch mobile application or http://www.samsung.com/in/support/smartswitch pc suite. Remember Google password before resetting the device because it required during initial setup. If you don't remember the password, then reset (Forgot password) your google account.

Settings > General Management > Reset > Temporary cloud backup or External storage backup > Factory data reset (This will erase all data, including files and downloaded apps.)

If the issue still occurs, please visit the service center for a physical inspection of your device. You can locate your nearest service center with this given link: https://www.samsung.com/in/support/service-center/

Warm Regards,

I will certainly follow the three steps you outlined, though it might take me 60–70 days to back up my data since I don't have a PC. Also, my phone no longer receives updates—the promise was for three years. If the steps you suggested don't work, I’ll first raise the issue with the tech community on Twitter rather than going straight to a Samsung service center. If I don't get a resolution from Samsung India, I will approach the consumer court; after all, if I buy another Samsung device in the future, I might face the same problem—especially since Samsung has acknowledged the "green line" issue. They offered a fix for devices within a three-year window of purchase, but my device is already five years old. I still intend to keep using it and plan to get the battery replaced. However, if I buy a new device in the future that comes with a seven-year update promise, and the green line issue appears again during that time, will I have to keep paying out of my own pocket? I need to get to the root of this issue because Samsung is a responsible and trusted company. I have owned several Samsung phones—ChatOn, Galaxy Pocket Duos, Ace NXT, Galaxy A30s, and now the Galaxy F62 (which is giving me trouble). If this happens again, what will I do? Where will I go? I can't keep paying for repairs myself. I am going to the service center tomorrow to get the battery changed.

Hi Rohit, green screen issues on AMOLED displays often happen due to display panel failure or post-update hardware conflicts. Since your phone has no physical or liquid damage, I recommend visiting an official Samsung Service Center. They might offer a free screen replacement if it's recognized as a known issue.
