Though Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5G got 3 cameras, only 2 of them are actually functioning.
12mp main camera is working.
12mp ultra wide camera is working.
But 8mp Telephoto camera isn't working.
When I use 3x optical zoom, my phone uses 12mp main camera instead of dedicated 8mp telephoto camera. Through main camera it only digitally zooms, whereas telephoto camera zooms optically which results in better clarity in photos than 12mp main camera digital zoom. If there's a dedicated telephoto camera exist then why it isn't of no use.
I think this issue is related to software which deals with cameras.
I hope Samsung will look into it and fix it as soon as possible.
Yes, you're right I just noticed this now and I came to forums to check if someone else is having the same issue. Basically when we click on 3x it should trigger the 8 megapixel Telephoto lens but instead it takes pic from 12 megapixel Wide sensors. It's a major bug and maybe Samsung will fix it in the next security update👍🏻
