I use oldskool style pattern unlock. ( reason at the end ) i use No face, no finger . Directly the Unlock pattern on my S 23 Ultra, as a samsung fan starting from Note 3 . Recently i happen to recollect that before - once you take your phone and press the power button - The screen pattern comes directly on front.

Nowadays to the newer one ui 8 -8.5 -9 you have to swipe first from the lockscreen- then use the pattern.

Is there any way to make the pattern directly available on the first lockscreen.

The real reason why i dont use Face unlock and Finger print - imagine you fell unconscious- some one could easily take your phone press your finger and unlock - or even while sleeping - Face unlock some one could easily open your eyes - even if the fingers are used to open your eyes the phone will open up and unlock. ( try yourself )This is a very huge security fault concern of Samsung.

is there anyway where you can have the pattern unlock directly on this screen instead os swiping and then unlocking ?

Thank you for sharing your feedback regarding the lock screen unlocking process.

Currently, Samsung Galaxy devices generally require you to swipe up on the lock screen before entering your pattern. There is no standard setting to display the pattern grid immediately without this additional step.

As an alternative, you can use fingerprint recognition or face recognition, if supported by your device, for a more convenient unlocking experience.

We appreciate your suggestion to make pattern unlocking more direct and convenient. While we cannot confirm whether this functionality will be introduced in a future update, your feedback is valuable in helping improve the Galaxy user experience.
