Yes, Samsung is introducing a completely redesigned software update banner for One UI 9.5.
Assets for this new visual identity were leaked early inside internal Galaxy S26 FE firmware files within the software update menu. This indicates that Samsung is actively shifting its internal focus toward the development of One UI 9.5 (based on Android 17), which is expected to officially debut with the Galaxy S27 series.

Key Design Changes in the One UI 9.5 Banner
The new banner marks a major departure from the aesthetic themes used in recent iterations of One UI:
  • Dropping the Circles: One UI 8.5 introduced screen-filling banner images built around bold, circular shapes, which were later rearranged in One UI 9.0 to form the number "9". One UI 9.5 drops this circular motif completely.
  • Fluid Line Motif: The new graphic features three large, curved lines sweeping across the screen, giving the update interface a much softer, more fluid, and premium look.
  • Dynamic Color Palette: The banner traces three layered shapes that fade through a gradient of turquoise, blue, and bright pink. The turquoise and blue shades match Samsung's traditional Galaxy AI branding.
  • Blur and Radii Effects: The lines trace edges with progressively larger corner radii, sitting alongside a smooth, progressive gradient blur on a pale background.
  • Responsive Scaling: To accommodate Samsung's multi-device ecosystem, the banner artwork has been found in three distinct layout sizes: square (for standard smartphones), wide (for tablets and foldables like the Galaxy Z Fold), and wide-tall (optimized for massive displays like the Tab S Ultra line).

What Else to Expect From One UI 9.5
While the banner is the first concrete visual asset to leak, initial details point toward a comprehensive software refinement:
  • Deeper Galaxy AI Integration: Building upon the tools in One UI 9.0, the 9.5 update will focus on more context-aware, on-device intelligence.
  • Refined Layout Controls: Users can expect highly customized widget depth, transparent UI elements, and smoother, ultra-fluid system animations.
